Assam TET Exam 2014

Assam Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) is being conducted under Sarva Skiksha Abhiyan on 19th of October, 2014. Candidates who have applied for the Assam TET Exam should prepare according to the examination pattern and syllabus. It should be noted that Assam TET Exam is only for permanent residents of Assam. Applicants have to pay Rs.500 as application fee by all the candidates through e-Challan at any SBI branch. Pattern and syllabus of examination are discussed below :

Pattern of ASSAM Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2014 :

 The Assam TET Exam comprises of two parts, Paper-I and Paper-II. The details of both the paper are as under :

1. Paper-I :

This paper is for those candidates who are willing to be a teacher for Class I to V (Lower Primary School). There will be 150 multiple choice questions divided into 5 parts, each of 30 questions. Each question will carry one mark. 83 out of 150 will be the passing marks. The section of questions will include Child Development and Pedagogy (compulsory), Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. The Paper-I will be of 150 minutes. Paper-I includes-

1. Child Development and Pedagogy (compulsory) : 30 marks

2. Language-I (Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, Hmar, Karbi, Nepali, Manipuri, Garo and Alternative English) (any one compulsory) : 30 marks

3. Language-II (English) : 30 marks

4. Mathematics : 30 marks

5. Environmental Studies : 30 marks

2. Paper-II :

This paper is for Class VI to VIII. There will be 150 multiple choice questions divided into 5 parts, each of 30 questions. Each question will carry one mark. There are 4 sections in this paper which includes Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II and specific subject (Mathematics and Science / Social Science / any other). It comprises of-

1. Child Development and Pedagogy (compulsory) : 30 marks

2. Language-I : 30 marks

3. Language-II : 30 marks

4. (i) For Mathematics and Science Teacher (Mathematics and Science)

(ii) For Social Studies / Social Science Teacher (Social Science)

(iii) For any other Teacher
